Commemorating the birth (Mawlid) of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ has been familiarly conducted throughout the year. We hope that an annual event, such as ‘Al-Mawseem’, conducted in the month of Rabi’ al-Awwal in the blessed Zawiyah, will allow the gathering of people from near and far. It is here that we enjoin ties, deepen relationships, learning and reminding everyone of the beautiful life of our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
The main activities organised in the annual Mawseem event are as follows:
1) We recite the Qur’an …
“and read what is easy from the Qur’an” [Al-Muzzammil 73:20].
2) We remember Allah Almighty … ﴾
“and remember Allah in abundance” [Al-Jumu’ah 62:10].
3) We praise the Prophet … ﴾
“so those who believe in him ﷺ, they honoured (praised) him, supported him and followed the light which was sent down with him” [Al-A’raf 7:157].
4) We come together for goodness … ﴾
“and help one another in righteousness and piousness” [Al-Ma’idah 5:2].
5) We remind each other of obedience … ﴾
“and remember, for the remembrance benefits the believers” [Adz-Dzariyat 51:55].
6) We serve food … ﴾
“we feed you only for the countenance of Allah. We neither wish from you reward nor gratitude” [Al-Insan 76:9].
7) We supplicate to Allah Almighty for goodness … ﴾
“and your Lord said, “Call upon (beseech) Me, I will respond to you” [Al-Ghafir 40:60].
May Allah The Almighty reward, the organisers, the helpers, the volunteers, all those who work towards the conduct of this annual event (Al-Mawseem), with the highest of abode in Jannah.
